For Parents and Carers

Food and drink

Your child can have a cooked meal or a selection from Cool Art Cafe (sandwiches/jacket potatoes) provided by our caterers. Alternatively you can provide a packed lunch for your child.

All EYFS and Key Stage 1 pupils will receive a school lunch without the need for parents to pay. This is because the school accesses the Government’s Universal Infant Free School Meals Scheme. The cost of a school meal is £2.96 per day or £14.80 per week for KS2 pupils. Dinner money must be paid, in advance, via ParentPay where possible.

Free School Meals

Many of our families could get Free School Meals but do not claim for them; your child(ren) may be entitled to Free School Meals if you, as the parent, are in receipt of any of the following benefits:

  • Income Support
  • Jobseeker’s Allowance (income based)
  • Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Guaranteed element of State Pension Credit or Child Tax Credit (but NOT Working Tax Credit)

Why claim?

  • Save hundreds of pounds per year
  • Extra funding for the school in the form of Pupil Premium
  • Other pupils and parents will not know you are claiming

If you believe your child(ren) may qualify for Free School Meals, please follow the guidance and apply online here:
