For Parents and Carers

Food and drink

Your child can have a cooked meal or a selection from Cool Art Cafe (sandwiches/jacket potatoes) provided by our caterers. Alternatively you can provide a packed lunch for your child.

All EYFS and Key Stage 1 pupils will receive a school lunch without the need for parents to pay. This is because the school accesses the Government’s Universal Infant Free School Meals Scheme. The cost of a school meal is £2.50 per day or £12.50 per week for KS2 pupils. Dinner money must be paid, in advance, via ParentPay where possible. https://app.parentpay.com/

Free School Meals

Many of our families could get Free School Meals but do not claim for them; your child(ren) may be entitled to Free School Meals if you, as the parent, are in receipt of any of the following benefits:

  • Income Support
  • Jobseeker’s Allowance (income based)
  • Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Guaranteed element of State Pension Credit or Child Tax Credit (but NOT Working Tax Credit)

Why claim?

  • Save hundreds of pounds per year
  • Extra funding for the school in the form of Pupil Premium
  • Other pupils and parents will not know you are claiming

If you believe your child(ren) may qualify for Free School Meals, please follow the guidance here: https://www.gov.uk/apply-free-school-meals
