Admissions

Coast and Vale Learning Trust is the admission authority for the school and is responsible for determining its admission arrangements. The Trust has determined that all admissions will be co-ordinated through the Local Authority's co-ordinated admission arrangements. 

Application for places at the school need to be made through the Local Authority via their website: www.northyorks.gov.uk/primaryadmissions.  Each year the Local Authority produce ‘A Guide for parents Admission to schools’ – a summary guide which can also be found on their website.

  • How many children can the school take in the reception year group?

The maximum number agreed with the Local Education Authority is 60 . 

  • When can my child start?

Children are normally admitted at the start of the autumn term of the school year in which they will be five. 


PLEASE NOTE THAT PUPILS WITH PLACES AT NEWBY EARLY YEARS ARE NOT GUARANTEED A PLACE AT NEWBY AND SCALBY PRIMARY SCHOOL AND MUST APPLY USING THE INSTRUCTIONS ABOVE.
